Commonly asked questions.
How do I get started?
Whether you're just getting started or a seasoned practitioner, feel free to start with a complimentary discovery call. You will receive an initial intake form via email that asks and provides some basic information ahead of our virtual meeting. We will spend 20-30 minutes discussing your idea's, questions, and interests to figure out the ideal path forward whether that's meeting virtually, in-person at our location or yours, and determining what services you would like to explore.
What is Thai Yoga & Bodywork
Thai Bodywork sessions offer a deeply restorative, full-body experience that blends assisted stretching, rhythmic compression, and supported movement to release tension and improve mobility. Rooted in traditional Thai healing practices, these sessions are performed with clients fully clothed lying on a comfortable Thai floormat. Bodywork is designed to support energy flow, enhance flexibility, reduce physical stress and tension, and calm the nervous system. Each session is tailored to your body’s needs, creating a grounded and rejuvenating experience that leaves you feeling more open, balanced, and at ease. Thai Yoga is a gentle introduction to bodywork where we blend gentle yoga flow and postures with hands-on assisted stretching.
How often do we meet?
Whether you're interested in Yoga Therapy sessions, Thai Yoga & Bodywork, Recovery Wellness Support - it's up to you how often you would like to meet. Typically, clients meet once a week or every other week but you can opt for sessions that meet your lifestyle and budget. Generally, 10-12 weekly or biweekly sessions with some consistency are recommended to fully embody the practice. Clients can choose to continue beyond 12 weeks.
Is this process flexible or a structured program?
The journey adapts as you grow, meeting you exactly where you are. Clients may start with yoga therapy and later introduce Thai Yoga & Bodywork, or include yoga therapy sessions in addition. Based on your location you may opt to visit the Zen Den in Carver for private sessions, and combine virtual sessions. The Joy is in the Journey, and time can evolve your practice and approach.
How do I feel comfortable throughout?
Wear comfortable clothes that allow movement. Layers are always helpful in case the temperature changes.
What should I wear?
Whether we're working together virtually or in-person, we cultivate a cozy and welcoming environment where your rhythm, emotions, and experiences are always respected. Venturing into the unknown and trying out new things can feel daunting, frightening, or even unattainable for many. This journey has shown me that when I navigate through those emotions and chase my inklings and aspirations towards growth and alignment - I uncover the excitement in life, cherishing the joy of this adventure. Your feelings, thoughts, mobility, level of experience, and your story will be honored and cared for.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please notify us at least 24 hours before your booked session to reschedule or cancel without penalty. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice can be rescheduled for a future session or receive a 50% refund.
What if I don't have any experience and I'm not flexible?
You're in the right spot! We love working with yoga curious folks to provide an easy-going, non-intimidating introduction that meets your pace, your body, and your mind. Whether you participate in Yoga Therapy, Thai Bodywork, or Recovery Wellness Support we meet you where you're at ~ your pace, your body and mind.
Do you offer sliding scale rates?
I believe healing, movement, and support should be available to everyone. Financial circumstances are different for each of us, and my sliding scale is designed to honor both accessibility and the sustainability of this practice. Email us at community@thezendenco.com to discuss rate options.
